An old Cabdury's bar that was discontinued 18 years ago is back in UK - with some shoppers having already spotted it at their local stores.

The Fuse bar was first launched in 1996 and quickly became one of best-selling bars loved for its milk chocolate coating, and unique filling of nuts, raisins, cereal and fudge. A huge marketing campaign took off nationwide to mark the launch of the Fuse bar on 'FuseDay' - Tuesday, September 24, 1996.

It proved a hit among chocoholics across the country, until the bar was sadly discontinued in 2006. News of its return quickly spread online after a shopper spotted the snack in B&M. This time, the bar has returned in miniature form.

The news follows an announcement by Cadbury that it would not be bringing back the Spira bar, which was discontinued more than 19 years ago, despite chocolate lovers up and down the country calling for its return. The Spira bar had a hollow, twisted spiral shape, containing milk chocolate with an airy and crumbly texture.

A petition was even launched to have it back on supermarket shelves, and a Facebook page was created to support the cause,w which amassed 35,000 followers.

In a statement to Sky News however, Cadbury said: "We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and our business. Our Spira bars were discontinued several years ago but we still have plenty of other delicious sharing bags for consumers to choose from!"
