Chelsea next three transfers decided after £105m swoop in Enzo Maresca masterplan

Chelsea have already switched transfer focus after agreeing a deal for Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens with a further three signings this summer possible.

Liam Delap, Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr have all had their moves confirmed and it now looks as though Gittens will follow suit. Following talks with the German Club in the United States, due to both participating in the Club World Cup, a breakthrough was seemingly met.

Just prior to Chelsea's dramatic last-16 victory over Benfica, details of a full agreement between the two parties was revealed. The Blues are set to pay £5million, which includes add-ons, for his services.

With a deal for a right-footed left winger now complete, signings elsewhere can be formalised and it looks as though a big decision has already been made. According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, talks for Joao Pedro have now intensified.

Brighton have already rejected two proposals from Newcastle United with the Blues now pushing for his signature. The addition of a versatile forward is wanted but it will require two others, in Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix, that fit that mould to move on.

Hugo Ekitike was strongly linked to joining before the first deadline but he now appears more likely to join Manchester United or Liverpool.

If Pedro arrives, that will be three new forwards signed and thus attention should switch further back. AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan was heavily pursued in early June but their efforts fell short.

Robert Sanchez has hardly flattered to deceive over the last 12 months and with Djorde Petrovic wanting to leave permanently while Filip Jorgensen or Mike Penders could leave on loan, an addition is needed.

Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa remains an option while long-term target Diogo Costa could finally join from Porto. Revisiting the deal for Maignan with Milan could also occur late into the window.

Signing a defender is another aim for Maresca with Dean Huijsen, as he was for most Premier League clubs before he decided to join Real Madrid, initially their top target. As Arsenal are focused on a deal for Cristhian Mosquera, the Blues could have a free run at Jorrel Hato.

The Ajax centre-back has significant interest from the Premier League and as such, £42.8million (€50m) has been set as his asking price. For some added experience at the back, Chelsea could reignite interest in Tomas Araujo and Antonio Silva of Benfica.

Former player Marc Guehi is also a concrete option with his Crystal Palace contract expiring next summer amid transfer links to Liverpool.
