Gabriel Jesus told Arsenal exit truth after outlining plans to win over Mikel Arteta

A move to Serie A would be "perfect" for Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus. That is according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who has tipped the Brazilian to make the switch to Italy after a difficult start to the season.

Jesus has scored just one goal in 14 appearances for the Gunners this campaign, with that coming in the in the last month. He has started one Premier League game, clocking just 113 minutes of top-flight football since the start of the season.

It's safe to say that Jesus has dropped down to second-choice behind up front, though the former Manchester City man played alongside the German in the second half at Inter Milan on Wednesday. Jesus' lack of game time has sparked rumours that he could leave the Emirates.

And now, Di Marzio has made a prediction that Jesus could suit Italian football, hinting that a switch to Serie A might be the best option at this stage of his career.

Speaking to , Di Marzio said: "I think the Serie A would be perfect for . There are a lot of Brazilian strikers as well, and it would be a good step for him. He needs an Italian club. I don't know if it will be AC Milan or Inter if Lautaro Martinez leaves the club. It could be Napoli as well, but he needs a club like that where the fans will love him so much and where he will be the key player. He needs to be the key player, he doesn't want to be one of the players, he wants to be the key player."

He added: "I think he can find a good atmosphere in Italy and a club that will let him play, so he can find back to his best and show what he has shown in the best moments of his career. I don't think he will move to another English club, but there will be a lot of changes in the striker position in Italy. Napoli will get another one, Juventus will get another one, AC Milan will get another one. There is space in Italy for Jesus."

Despite his lack of form, Jesus is determined to get back to his best and prove that he deserves to be playing on a week-to-week basis.

"I believe that not only me, but any player, all players, want to have more minutes," Jesus told after the defeat to Inter. "I'm obviously never going to cause anything in the club."

Jesus added: "I'm going to try to demonstrate on a daily basis, in training, and when I get into the games, have my chance, and do my thing and trust that things will happen.

"I've always made it very clear that I want to improve, that I want to try to do my best and help . Obviously, my moment is not the best, it’s not the moment I wanted, that I would like.

"But as I said, I’m working on my own, trying to do my best, and get more minutes to play, but that’s a consequence of my training, it’s a consequence of the way I get in and leave the decision to the coach."
