Janey Goodley shares heartbreaking update from hospice amid end-of-life care

Comedian has revealed that she is receiving palliative care following her terminal cancer diagnosis.

The 63 year old star, who has made the nation chuckle with her funny caustic put downs, recently revealed that she is set to receive end of life care, as he cancer has now spread. Last week, Janey confirmed she was residing at a hospice and posted an image of her in her room , which overlooked a garden.

Among her celebrity pals including , who responded to the post with a series of red heart emojis, fans also inundated her comment section in response to the post. One said: "That’s a nice ground floor room, with a view of greenery and sky" Another said: “Having visited several times a friend in a Marie Curie hospice, I know how caring, how relaxed the atmosphere will be. Lots of love and hugs."

Meanwhile a third fan added: "Sending love and especially to your family. You’re a warrior. Janey revealed she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in 2021. But by the following year she was given the all clear and announced the news to her followers on X. However, last month she cancelled her tour as doctors informed her that she had signs that the cancer had returned.

Sharing a video with her fans, she updated them in September saying: "the chemo ran out of options and I just couldn’t take any more of it and the cancer has spread. So it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it and it’s really difficult to speak about this and say to people."

She also made mention to the charities who have supported her throughout her battle. Last month she told fans: "The chemo ran out of options, and I just couldn’t take anymore of it and the cancer has spread. So it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it. It is devastating news to know that I'm facing end of life, but we all come to an end sometime." She then added: "I hope you all have a lovely . Hopefully I might be here. Who knows? Don't know. I'm not a tick tock. But I just want you all to that I'm sending all my love and support to everybody else out there who is living with a life limiting disease."
