Although eyes will be on ensuring that one of the clubs has an advantage going into the second-leg in the Spanish capital next week, Bellingham could find himself back in hot water with the Spanish Football Federation for a second time in as many months.

Valencia claimed a famous win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu at the weekend thanks to Hugo Duro's 95th-minute winner, which leaves them four points off the current pace-setters Barcelona.

Bellingham's anger spilled over after the full-time whistle as he took out his frustration out at the pitchside monitor.

As per Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) rules, Bellingham could now be subject to a punishment. There is no set punishment for the midfielder and he could face a fine or even a ban.

The kick from Bellingham was firm enough to leave the piece of equipment shaking and the regulations from the governing body stipulate that ‘acts of aggression against equipment’ is punishable, if he is found to have deliberately damaged league property.

But, if his kick is found to have not damaged the monitor, the England international could still be sanctioned for 'bringing the game into disrepute' or 'disrespectful conduct'.

If the RFEF decide not to take significant action, Bellingham could still receive a warning over his behaviour and a reminder of the rules and standards he must uphold.

In February, the 21-year-old was banned for two games after a straight red card for showing 'disrespect' to the match official during Real Madrid's encounter with Osasuna.

The Englishman avoided a longer ban for swearing at the official, but manager Carlo Ancelotti had revealed that he had been handed his marching orders after being accused of shouting "f*** you."

However, thee Italian argued that he disagreed with the initial decision to be penalised and said "f*** off."

It follows the news that saw for their conduct, in light of their dramatic win over Atletico Madrid during the previous round of Champions League fixtures.
