Miranda Hart shares a glimpse of married life and discusses chronic illness in heartfelt video

Miranda Hart has left her fans in a flurry of excitement this week after dropping the bombshell news that she's tied the knot.

The , actress and author surprised her admirers when she appeared on The One Show this week, using the platform not only to promote her new book "I Haven't Been Entirely Honest With You" but also to confirm her marriage to her mystery husband.

Now living with chronic illness, Miranda took to social media on Thursday, 10 October, to express her gratitude to fans for their support on the launch day of her book and to reach out to others battling chronic conditions. The sounds of cutlery and dinnerware could be heard in the background as she said: " Hello, it's me again, I'm popping up willy nilly.

"I just wanted to say thank you for all the support on publication day and again to those of you who are fellow chronic illness sufferers, please know that I don't profess to know the answers." She added a note of caution as she delved into her journey towards holistic health, "I'm not a medic, I just share what I learnt for all of us, not just chronic illness sufferers, what I researched and learned for holistic health.

"It's all the things that reduce the stress in my life – that doesn't mean I am saying that they cure medical conditions that I know nothing about, so I just want to make that really, really clear." Miranda made a heartfelt speech about her struggles with illness, affirming, "I understand the pain of the misunderstanding, of the getting no answers, of the not having a cure.

"My story is I just found things that helped me living with the illness. It happened to improve my physiology. It might for some, it may not for others. I just want to say I am on your side and love you very much." She took a moment during her talk to acknowledge the homey interruption: "And that's my husband making me a scrambled egg - showbiz exclusive!", reports .

The beloved comedian has been fairly private about her new beau, simply revealing that their paths crossed when he visited to inspect mould in her home. Just recently, on Tuesday, she shared a clip on of an off-camera high-five with him, gushing over her contentment in finding a life partner and expressing excitement about her return to television and releasing a book.

Her update concluded with a cheerful "High-five husband. Ho ho. Exclusive, his hand. Bye!"
