Nottingham Forest are reportedly in talks to sign former Arsenal target Johan Bakayoko if they lose Anthony Elanga and Morgan Gibbs-White.
After two years at the City Ground, Elanga is close to sealing a move to Newcastle United after both teams agreed a fee of £55m for the forward earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in Gibbs White, with reports on Thursday night claiming the England international was edging closer to a move to North London.

But on Friday, it was claimed Forest were consulting lawyers after they believed Thomas Frank's side had made an illegal approach for Gibbs White.
But regardless of whether Gibbs White leaves the East Midlands outfit this summer, it appears that Forest are already drawing up plans to strengthen their squad for the new season, as Graeme Bailey reports that Forest are "making progress" in their pursuit of PSV Eindhoven forward Bakayoko.
Providing an update on Forest's pursuit of the attacker, Bailey told Nottingham Forest News: “Johan Bakayoko is the most advanced in terms of a winger. Forest are making progress with him."
Belgium international Bakayoko has excelled in the Eredivisie since making his debut for PSV Eindhoven in March 2022.
The 22-year-old has scored 33 goals and bagged 22 assists in 131 appearances for the Dutch outfit, whom he has won the Eredivisie twice.
It is not the first time Bakayoko has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with both Liverpool and Arsenal said to have been eyeing a move for the forward last year.
The forward has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal with PSV.
