Sporting Lisbon president Frederico Varandas refused to speak to a journalist whilst out on a morning run as he was questioned on Ruben Amorim.
The club's manager is heavily linked with the vacancy and the Portuguese outfit confirmed that the side had expressed . Amorim himself after a hugely successful stint.
Varandas has benefited from having Amorim at the helm with Sporting marking themselves out as Portugal's top side after years of being behind Benfica and Porto.
The Sporting president was enjoying his morning jog with a friend before he was stopped by a journalist. Varandas had no interest in stopping or addressing the future of his manager as he simply said: "It's a beautiful morning" and kept on running.

Amorim took charge of Sporting on Tuesday night and received huge applause from the home crowd as they feared it could be their manager's final game at the helm. The 39-year-old's stock has been rising over the years but he insists he's not decided whether to stay or go.
He said: "There is interest from Manchester United, there is the payment of a contract term and when I have something more solid, I will come here and tell my position, because it will be my choice. While I don't have everything decided, for one side or the other, I can't tell much more".
United have wasted no time in pursuing Amorim having sacked Erik ten Hag on Monday. The Dutchman had presided over months of poor results and leaves Old Trafford with the club sat in the bottom half having lost four of their nine Premier League games this term.
Sporting have had to accept the loss of some of their leading players during their trophy-laden period. Amorim has been able to continue his success despite the club cashing in on the likes of Manuel Ugarte, Matheus Nunes and Joao Palhinha in recent years.
The club would be loathed to lose their manager however with Amorim key to their recent success. He again has them sat top of the Primeira Liga, winning all nine of their games, scoring 30 times and conceding just twice.
