Steven Gerrard's foul-mouthed response to Gary Neville as he boasts about lucrative salary

Gerrard was featured on Neville's show as Carragher phoned him during a trip to Istanbul's Olympic Stadium - the iconic location where the two Liverpool legends pulled off their famous triumph over AC Milan in the 2005 final.

Carragher asked Gerrard - who now manages Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia - if he recognised where the group were, with also present on the trip, as he said: "There he is, there's the main fella. Can you tell where are? You can tell, don't you?" with Gerrard responding: "Oh yeah."

The ex-centre back then showed he was standing next to Neville and Keane - Gerrard and Carragher's old Manchester United rivals - to which the former midfielder said: "Oh for f***'s sake. Roy, you can stay where you are, Gary you can f*** off," leaving Neville in hysterics.

Carragher and Gerrard then reminisced over their memorable final - which saw the latter inspire an incredible comeback from 3-0 down before winning 3-2 on penalties.

Gerrard explained he had picked up Andriy Shevchenko's shirt after the game and teased Carragher by claiming he had "definitely" sold his Paolo Maldini jersey. Carragher replied, joking that there was "no chance of you needing sell anything being over there" in Saudi Arabia.

Gerrard, who is believed to be on a salary of around £15million-a-year at Al-Ettifaq - then laughed as he admitted: "No I'm alright at the moment. The bills are alright at the moment."

The 44-year-old then looked back on the penalty shootout in the final after Shevchenko missed his effort with a dink - meaning Gerrard didn't have to take his spot kick - with the legendary midfielder admitting he was a relieved man.

It comes after Gerrard was booed by his own fans after Al-Ettifaq were beaten by Al-Qadisiyah in the Saudi Pro League, with a section of supporters telling him to "get out" following four defeats from six games.

Al-Ettifaq are now 11th in the table after finishing sixth last season and Gerrard is now under rising pressure to keep his job.

He took full responsibility for their latest defeat, admitting his side were in an "embarrassing situation", though they did bounce back in the Gulf Club Champions League by defeating Al Qadsia 1-0.
