Strictly star Chris McCausland forced to 'walk out' on Dianne Buswell during rehearsal

Chris McCausland has confessed that he had to 'walk out' on Dianne Buswell during their training for the upcoming performance, a story they amusingly shared on social media.

The duo survived until week six of the One dance competition, moving audiences to tears with their emotional ballroom routine.

Last weekend saw Chris and Dianne deliver a stunning waltz to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, a tribute to Chris' cherished hometown and football team, leaving the judges needing a moment and viewers deeply moved.

However, having been voted through to another week in Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, they've had to bid farewell to the waltz, much to Chris' disappointment. For the show's annual Halloween week, they will be performing the Samba to Stayin Alive by The Bee Gees.

According to Chris and Dianne's most recent social media update as part of their video series 'CHRIS DIAnneRIES', mastering the new routine hasn't been easy, reports .

On Thursday (October 24), their final day in the rehearsal room before heading to Elstree Studios where they'll have limited practice sessions in the ballroom with the cameras, Dianne revealed they'd rehearsed their next routine 22 times - with her making notes throughout.

Initially, the pro dancer would scribble down observations after every trio of rehearsals. Her first notations hailed Chris' efforts as 'great', upgrading to 'terrific' whilst also zooming in on their specific focal points each time.

However, Chris seemed less than thrilled when Dianne reverted to describing their rehearsals as merely 'great'. Tension seemed to mount for the pair when Dianne, age 35, shared that in her notes, her comic partner had expressed his wish for her to be 'on mute'.

At 47, Chris laid bare: "So this is what happens. The Samba is very energetic and I have to have a little lie down just to catch my breathe back, just to recover, and she just talks at me constantly while I'm trying to take my brain off the dancing for a minute, have a little bit of me time. At one point, I had to walk away from you and you said, 'Chris, you're going the wrong direction,' and I said, 'No, I need some space. I just need some distance between my face and your voice."

The dance couple's followers quickly chimed in with enthusiasm for their upcoming performance. One fan stated: "Super excited for this dance! ! i'm sure it'll be amazing."

Another commented: "Love you guys, my favourites to win, always look forward to watching you both on a Saturday."

Someone else couldn't contain their excitement, posting: "So excited for saturday cannot wait to see what you have in store for us."

Meanwhile, another social media user chimed in with some encouragement: "Go out there, smile and have some fun! The Samba likes to party. Will be watching and voting."

Someone else was equally supportive, saying: "I'm sure it'll be a terrific run on saturday! ! can't wait to see it."
