PM Kisan 20th Installment: ₹2,000 to Be Transferred on August 2 — 70 Lakh Rajasthan Farmers to Benefit

The central government has officially announced the date for the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the next round of payments on August 2, 2025, directly from Varanasi. This time, the amount will be credited to the bank accounts of nearly 10 crore farmers across India, including over 70 lakh farmers from Rajasthan.

PM Modi to Disburse Funds from Varanasi

On August 2, PM Modi will attend a public event at Banauli village, Sevapuri, where he will formally release the 20th PM Kisan installment. Alongside this, he is expected to inaugurate and dedicate various development projects worth ₹1,500 crore to the public.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is overseeing the preparations, and the venue is being arranged to accommodate over 50,000 attendees.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a central government scheme that provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually, in three equal installments of ₹2,000, directly into the bank accounts of eligible small and marginal farmers.

So far, 19 installments have already been released. The 19th installment was credited around June last year, but the 20th installment was delayed and is now confirmed for August 2.

Rajasthan: 75 Lakh Farmers Benefited Last Time

In the last installment (19th), approximately 75 lakh farmers from Rajasthan received ₹2,000 each under the scheme. This time, the number is expected to exceed 70 lakh again, with farmers eagerly waiting for the payout to support their monsoon farming and other agri-related expenses.

Important Note: KYC is Mandatory

To ensure transparency and eliminate ineligible beneficiaries, the government has made KYC (Know Your Customer) mandatory for receiving the PM Kisan benefits.

Additionally, the use of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) has been linked to the scheme this time. Those who haven’t completed e-KYC may face delays or may not receive the installment at all.

The Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently released a video message reminding farmers to update their KYC. The Agriculture Ministry also shared this update on its official X handle (formerly Twitter).
