The full form of CNAP is 'Calling Name Presentation'. After the implementation of this service, whenever someone calls you, their mobile number as well as their real name will also appear on your screen. This will be the same name that the person had given in his form (CAF) while purchasing the SIM card. With this, no one will be able to cheat you by giving a fake name or identity.
How will the common man benefit?
This rule will prove to be a great strength for the common people.
Control over fraud: Fraud in the name of a bank officer, lottery, or KYC update will be curbed.
Get rid of spam calls: You will know in advance whether the call is from a marketing company or an important person.

What will be the rules for banks and companies?
Companies or banks that have a lot of numbers in bulk will be allowed to use a registered name (like 'XYZ Bank' or 'ABC Delivery') for all their numbers. For this, they will have to submit the necessary documents, so that the authenticity of the name is maintained.
When will this service start?
