In 2012, Ajay Devgn starred in the action comedy Son of Sardaar, an official Hindi remake of SS Rajamouli’s 2010 Telugu comedy drama Maryada Ramanna.

Despite the clash, Son of Sardaar made over Rs 100 crore at the box office and turned out to be a hit.
