Surpassing the YRF Spy Universe in creativity and audience excitement, the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) has now become one of the most intriguing and promising cinematic universes in Bollywood.

With every new instalment, Maddock Films continues to expand its spooky yet entertaining world, blending folklore, mythology, and humour into one thrilling franchise.

Their latest release, Thamma, not only stands as a standalone film but also sets up several new storylines and characters that will play a major role in the upcoming chapters of the MHCU.

Thamma’s Ending Explained

The post-interval sequence of Thamma builds up to an intense and visually grand confrontation between Thamma and Bhediya. At this point, Bhediya has only consumed a drop of Betaal’s blood, which enhances his strength but doesn’t grant him full power. His thirst for more of that mystical blood becomes the driving force for his transformation.

The film’s climax teases an epic showdown, as Bhediya charges toward Thamma’s underground kingdom, setting the stage for what appears to be a massive Thamma vs. Bhediya face-off in Bhediya 2.

Interestingly, just before Thamma’s screening, we see an announcement for Shakti Shalini, which is expected to release before Bhediya 2. This is where things get even more intriguing. The film hints at a spiritual and mythological link between Shakti Shalini and Thamma.

According to the lore introduced in the movie, the Betaals, the blood-sucking beings central to Thamma’s mythology, are believed to have descended from creatures who once drank Rakt Beej’s blood, but their origin traces back to Goddess Durga, who produced them.

Since Shakti Shalini literally translates to another form of Goddess Durga, it’s likely that the upcoming film will explore how Shakti Shalini draws her powers from the divine goddess and how she connects to the Betaal lineage.

The ending also introduces a chilling new thread; Sarkata, seen in his ultimate form, releases Yakshashna (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui) from captivity, forming a sinister alliance. This indicates the rise of a dark army that could threaten the MHCU world.

Looking ahead, fans might witness an explosive collision between Thamma and Bhediya, only to be united by Shakti Shalini. Stree will likely join the battle later, but the most suspenseful question remains: which side will Munjya choose? Will he align with Sarkata’s evil forces or stand with the heroes to prevent the apocalypse? Whatever the answer, one thing is clear: Maddock’s horror comedy universe is heading toward an epic, interconnected climax unlike anything Bollywood has seen before.
