Indian defence personnel to get lifetime free visa booking on Atlys

Send Push
Serving personnel of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and paramilitary forces will no longer have to pay visa booking service charges on the Atlys visa processing platform. Starting May 14, Atlys has introduced a lifetime waiver of its visa processing fee for all active defence personnel.

Mohak Nahta, CEO of Atlys, announced the initiative in a LinkedIn post, stating, “A small gesture, for a service we can never repay. For every soldier who's stood post at 2AM, missed festivals or skipped goodbyes – it's the least we could do.”

The platform confirmed that the waiver applies to all visa categories available on Atlys. However, this offer is only available to the personnel themselves and does not cover family members such as spouses, children, or parents.

To avail the benefit, eligible users must:
  • Upload a valid official defence ID
  • Submit their passport number
  • Provide contact details
Atlys will verify the details within 24 to 48 hours. Once confirmed, the individual’s email ID is tagged in the system, enabling them to make visa bookings at zero service cost through the platform.

Indian defence personnel also receive a range of travel-related benefits, including discounts on rail, air, and road transport services. Some of these concessions are extended to immediate family members, though the Atlys waiver is currently limited to serving members only.
