"On the sixth day of Navratri, Mother Katyayani is worshipped. With four arms, she fulfills every wish of her devotees. She is known as the giver of boons. If devotees worship with a true heart, devotion, and unwavering faith, she fulfills every wish. Mother Katyayani is very fond of bananas and their products, whether they be sweets or kheer. Boys who are not getting married can offer a special puja to the Mother by offering six knots of turmeric.

Vindhyadham scholar Pt. Anupam Maharaj told Local 18 that Mother Katyayani is worshipped on the sixth day of Navratri. Mother Katyayani is dressed in yellow clothes. Just like the true form of gold after it has been heated, the Mother's form is similar. She has four arms. One holds a sword, the other a lotus flower. The arrow is in the boon pose, and the fourth is in the abhaya pose. She rides a lion. She grants blessings to her devotees. The Goddess also loves yellow flowers. Therefore, when worshipping, be sure to offer yellow flowers to the Goddess.

These are the things dear to the Goddess.
Pt. Anupam Maharaj explained that Goddess Katyayani is very fond of bananas. Therefore, bananas should be offered as an offering. If you want to provide something better than bananas, you can offer kheer mixed with banana and saffron. Brown sugar is used in this. This day is especially special for young women who are unable to have a son. Chanting the mantra along with the puja will bring success. If a groom is unable to get married, he can arrange for six turmeric lumps, betel leaves, and a coconut for Goddess Katyayani and get married within six months.
