Vastu Shastra describes the special importance of plants and trees inside the house or in the courtyard. It is believed that every plant brings its own energy and effect to the home environment. One such tree is the guava, which has many religious significances along with Ayurveda. According to Vastu Shastra, planting a guava tree in the house is a symbol of auspiciousness and prosperity. Planting it destroys negative energy and increases positive energy inside the house.

Pandit Deepak Sharma said that if a guava tree is planted in the southeast direction (Agni angle) or east direction in the house, then it is very auspicious. This maintains happiness and peace in the family, child happiness, and economic progress. It is mentioned in the scriptures that by planting a guava tree, the gods reside in the house, and the blessings of the gods and goddesses remain on the family.
Religious importance of guava
Pandit Deepak Sharma said that the guava tree is considered sacred in Hinduism. Its leaves are used in religious works, havan, and worship. Guava fruit is considered a symbol of purity and sattvikta. Guava fruit and leaves are especially offered to Lord Ganesha. Offering guava to Ganesha not only removes obstacles but also gives wisdom and discretion. It is believed that offering guava pleases Ganpati Bappa quickly and fulfills all the wishes of the devotee. Especially from Ganesh Chaturthi to Ganesh Visarjan, offering guava fruit during the worship of Bappa pleases him quickly.
Ayurvedic benefits of guava
Along with religious benefits, guava also has many Ayurvedic benefits. Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Mukesh Sharma said that guava is placed in the category of superfruit in Ayurveda. It strengthens the digestive power and removes problems like constipation, gas, and indigestion.
