Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Four including a minor boy were arrested for robbing a man of cash and his mobile phone in the Simrol area, police said on Saturday. Police claimed that the accused were arrested within 24 hours of the incident.
DSP (headquarters Rural) Umakant Chowdhary informed Free Press that Rakesh Doyat, a resident of Simrol had lodged a complaint that he was stopped by four people on two two-wheel vehicles near Roshiya Baba Dargah on April 3. One of the accused placed a knife on his abdomen and another snatched him mobile phone and some cash. They later fled towards the city.
A case was registered under the relevant section against the unidentified men and a team on the instruction of SP (Indore Rural) Hitika Vasal was constituted for the search of the accused. The team started the investigation and received information about the accused.
The police team later raided a place and arrested Sujal Kaithwas, Mayank Kaithwas and Kunal Shinde. Following the lead given by the accused, a minor boy was also detained in connection with the robbery. Two of them are from Vijay Nagar area of the city. A mobile phone, two two-wheelers and a knife used in the crime were recovered from the accused.
