Imagine, you are standing at a place where time seems to have stopped. Where the moment you step, the speed of the wind changes. Where you are alone but still do not feel alone. Where even in the silence of the mountain, a strange and mysterious sound is heard. This place is not an ordinary place, it is Mount Kailash. This peak, located in the lap of the Himalayas, is not just a mountain, it is a living mystery.

You are mesmerized by seeing Mount Kailash. It is not only great because of its height but is amazing because of its existence and energy. It is said that every stone, every layer of snow and every void here says something. But are we able to hear that message? It is not just a pilgrimage place, but a gate. But the question is where does this gate lead to? To which world? Is this really the second abode of Lord Shiva?
Kailash: Faith center of four religionsThis mountain located in Tibet is approximately 21,778 feet high. It may not be the highest mountain in the world but it is still considered the most sacred mountain. Kailash has a special place in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Tibetan Bon tradition. This is not a coincidence. This is an indication that there is something extraordinary in this mountain. Four great rivers Brahmaputra, Indus, Karnali and Sutlej originate from this mountain. This is not just geography, this is the plan of the universe.
Abode of Shiva: Kailash Loka
In Hinduism, Mount Kailash is considered to be the abode of Lord Shiva. It is written in 'Shiva Purana', "Kailash is that abode where not only the body but also the soul can enter." This place is more than a physical place, it is a center of consciousness. It is believed that Shiva and Shakti reside here.
Why could no one climb the peak of Mount Kailash?Till date no one has been able to reach the peak of Mount Kailash. Many attempts were made but every time something happened which forced the climbers to return. Some were stopped by the weather, some by illusion and some by some invisible power. Once Russian climbers almost reached the peak. But they said, "It felt as if some force was pulling us inwards and our consciousness started wavering." Tibetans believe, "Whoever climbs Kailash does not return to earth."
Is there any entry into Kailash? Many travelers have experienced that while circumambulating Kailash, at some places they felt as if there was a tunnel or as if a path was going inside. Some seekers saw a divine city in meditation where light, music and supernatural energy were felt. According to mythological beliefs, Lord Shiva lives not only outside Kailash but also inside it. That subtle world which is beyond the consciousness of a normal human being. It is believed that Kailash is located at the center of an energy circle where the fifth dimension is active, a dimension that can take us to other worlds.
Shambhala: A Path to the Divine City?
In the Tibetan tradition, Kailash is called Kang Rinpoche, meaning "gem of precious snow." It is also believed that there is a path inside Kailash that leads to Shambhala, a divine city where only perfected souls reside. In Buddhism, the practice of Tara Devi and Chakrasamvara is also believed to be associated with Kailash. In the Bon tradition, Kailash is said to be the abode of Sipa Hor, who is believed to be the protector of the universe.
Divine sound coming from KailashTibetan folklore says that sometimes a sound like a damru is heard from Kailash. Sometimes light emanates from the top of the mountain at night. People believe that these are signs of Lord Shiva's presence. The great Tibetan saint Milarepa meditated around Kailash for years. Once in meditation, he saw a door open on the mountain from which divine light and sound were emanating. But then he got an inner message, "This door is only for those who have reached the pinnacle of penance and renunciation." Indian yogis like Gorakhnath and Machhindranath are said to have entered Kailash. They did not return for many years. When they returned, their luminous consciousness returned, not their bodies.
Kailash and the mystery of timeMany pilgrims have experienced that their hair and nails started growing faster than usual during the Kailash Yatra. Science calls it time dilation when the flow of time at a place is different from other places. Such an effect is usually seen in places like black holes. So is Kailash such an energy center?
Is Kailash an ancient pyramid?
Russian scientist Dr. Ernest Muldashev researched Mount Kailash for many years.
He says that Kailash is not a natural mountain but a huge pyramid. According to him, it is an energy transmitter which was built by a very ancient civilization. He also found that there are many mountains around Kailash at an equal distance like a huge system. Some seekers saw in meditation that there is a temple inside Kailash with lamps burning, wonderful light and music. Someone said, "When I closed my eyes, a light was burning there." Someone said, "I saw an invisible temple, which appeared inside."
It is considered normal to experience vibrations in the body, Brahma sound and energy while meditating on Mount Kailash. Many travelers said that as soon as they reached near the mountain, some invisible power was stopping them. Some had mysterious dreams, some found themselves in some other dimension.
