Neena Singh's presents Echoes of Becoming opens at Bikaner House, New Delhi

Celebrated contemporary artist Neena Singh unveiled her latest solo exhibition, Echoes of Becoming, on 8th November 2025 at the Main Art Gallery, Bikaner House, New Delhi. The exhibition, on view until 17th November 2025, was inaugurated by chief guest Padma Bhushan Shri Rajeev Sethi, along with guest of honours Ms. Zohra Chatterjee, former secretary, Govt of India, Dr. Sudhakar Sharma, former secretary Lalit Kala Academy and Mr Ramprasad Akkisetti, Managing Director at CCBA Designs and founder and curator at India House Art Gallery, Pune.

The exhibition features 50 artworks, each a meditation on abstraction and transformation, reflecting exploration of emotion, consciousness, and form. The opening evening brought together artists, collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts to experience her immersive visual language.

Speaking at the opening, Neena Singh reflected on her creative process, describing painting as a journey of listening to the spaces between thought and feeling. To her, art is not mere decoration on walls but an active, living force in the universe. Each artwork, she shared, is a creation born in solitude- capturing growth, transformation, and transcendence.

“As an artist, I believe art matters because it teaches us not to take things at face value, not to subscribe blindly to any ‘ism,’ but to think and perceive for ourselves,” Neena expressed. ‘Echoes of Becoming’ embodies this belief- celebrating different ways of seeing and divergent ways of being.

Curator Aditya Shirke adds, “Neena’s works transcend the boundaries of form and narrative. They invite you into a space where time slows down where colour speaks softly and stillness holds power. Her abstraction is not about departure from reality, but about deep engagement with its essence.”

The evening unfolded as a celebration of contemporary abstraction and artistic introspection, highlighting the dynamic interplay between heritage, creativity, and modern expression in India’s evolving art landscape.
