BREAKING: Tottenham takeover bid 'launched' as stunning £4.5bn offer made

Former DJ and tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick is heading a 12-man group that has launched a world-record £4.5billion takeover bid for Tottenham, it has been claimed.

Earick and his partners are offering £3.3bn to buy out the entire club from owners ENIC and the Lewis family, reports The Sun, with a further £1.2bn earmarked for spending on players.

The 41-year-old has assembled a group including NFL and NBA investors to back his vision for the north London club. Earick has a 'Tottenham 3.0' blueprint that envisages a huge investment to the playing side.

He has also lined up a potential £250million stadium naming rights deal. The total package would exceed the £4.25bn record for a football club paid by the Todd Boehly-led consortium that brought Chelsea in 2022.

A source told The Sun: "Brooklyn and his team think everything is in place at Tottenham already. Spurs has a world class stadium and training ground, the infrastructure is all in place. But with the investment they are ready to make, it will be the final step to turn the club into winners on the pitch as well."

It's claimed that Earick is thought to have started initial discussion with the Tottenham board - including former chairman Daniel Levy - a couple of months ago.

Despite Earick's proposed bid, Tottenham's majority shareholder ENIC is adamant the club is not for sale, despite Levy's departure earlier this month. Spurs confirmed on September 4 that Levy has stepped down from his role as Executive Chairman after 25 years in the role.

In a statement at the time, Levy said: "I am incredibly proud of the work I have done together with the executive team and all our employees. We have built this club into a global heavyweight competing at the highest level.

"More than that, we have built a community. I was lucky enough to work with some of the greatest people in this sport, from the team at Lilywhite House and Hotspur Way to all the players and managers over the years.

"I wish to thank all the fans that have supported me over the years. It hasn’t always been an easy journey but significant progress has been made. I will continue to support this club passionately."
