Good Morning Britain star Adil Ray took a brutal swipe at Joey Essex in a "car crash interview".
During Monday's (August 18) edition of the hit ITV programme, Adil and his co-host Kate Garraway updated viewers on the latest news from across the UK and around the world.
They were joined in the studio by Sean Fletcher, who delivered the rest of the day's news, while Laura Tobin presented regular weather forecasts live from Kew Gardens.

Elsewhere in the show, Kate and Adil interviewed reality TV star Joey Essex about his upcoming boxing debut.
The 35-year-old, who shot to fame on The Only Way is Essex, will take on Portuguese influencer Numeiro for his first fight next week.
Speaking about his move into boxing, Joey said on GMB: "I honestly feel very confident... This was always going to happen, this was destiny. This is something that I was always going to do regardless."
However, the chat quickly became awkward when Adil jokingly called Joey a "baked bean" after Joey used the term as an insult to his upcoming opponent.
"You look a bit like a baked bean to be honest, mate!" Adil laughed, with a confused Joey asking: "Do I?"
Adil then said: "No, no, I didn't mean it! No, no, no, no. You look great, mate."
The tension continued when Joey confessed to being ready for his fight two weeks ago, with Adil quickly interjecting: "Hang on a minute. You can't just go out of Pure Gym straight into a boxing ring!"
That's not all, as at the end of the interview, Adil asked if Joey was set to receive £1 million for participating in the boxing match.
"No comment," Joey replied, with Adil concluding: "It is then, isn't it? It's worth it."
After watching the interview, legions of GMB fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their discomfort.
"Car crash interview. Adil seriously needs to never be on TV again," one person wrote, with another adding: "I've just watched the worst interview ever recorded on TV. Adil Ray trying to be funny and belittling Joey Essex. Cringe."
A third said: "How awkward is this interview with Joey Essex. Literally the interview has gone down south," while another similarly shared: "Got no words right now. Really awkward to watch."
A fifth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: "Joey Essex is p***** off. Adil overstepped the mark, that was an uncomfortable interview!"
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
