Manchester United would be willing to take a £20million hit onAndre Onanato facilitate a move away. The Cameroonian goalkeeper sees his future up in the air following a tricky few campaigns at Old Trafford.
He has been blighted by inconsistency since his £50m move from Italian giantsInter Milan. And it appears that United won’t be able to fetch anywhere near that fee should they choose to move Onana on permanently.
Red Devils chiefs would be willing to sell him for around £30m in an effort to get him off the wage bill. And while that represents a significant loss for the club, there remains a major issue.
Monaco and Saudi clubs have shown tentative interest but neither would be able to match United’s demands. From Onana’s stance, he is in no rush to quit the club.
He is determined to stay and fight for his place in the team, while proving he remains capable of being the club’s number one. That is despite hinting that he would be open to departing last month. He said: "Will I leave? I don't know, we'll see!"

Should Onana stay, that could see their hopes of signing a new goalkeeper take a significant hit. They already identified potential options including Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez.
Speaking earlier this summer, the 2022 World Cup winner said: "My future? I don’t know, I come here to play for the national team, and that’s the only thing that matters to me right now.
"Do I want to move to a new club? The transfer window just opened, so there’s still a long way to go."

Meanwhile, Botafogo star John Victor has also been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, with reports suggesting that United have submitted an initial enquiry for his services. The Brazilian has a £5.8m release clause written into his contract with his current club.
Onana, 29, has three years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, with it being suggested that United were also previously willing to allow him to leave on loan. Onana has made 101 appearances for the club since his arrival from Italy.
Away from a decision over their goalkeeper, United have already started to return for pre-season training. They are set to ramp up their preparations with a clash against Leeds in Sweden later this month before they fly to the USA to take part in the Premier League Summer Series.
