Sky offers ultimate iPhone upgrade at a more affordable price and it's 'selling fast'

If you've been eyeing up the latest and greatest iPhone 16 model from Apple then now could be a good time to consider making the jump. This all-new device first arrived back in September last year, and with it now over six months old, prices are starting to tumble. Numerous retailers have deals on the 16 but one offer that has caught our eye really does make this Apple flagship feel genuinely affordable.

with £0 upfront fee to pay. That means you can take delivery of one today without needing to raid your bank account. This deal even comes with 3GB of data plus free calls and texts.

If 3GB of mobile data sounds a bit measly, there are other offers, including 10GB for a total of £29 per month, 50GB for £32 or unlimited for £42 per month.

These prices are clearly proving popular with Sky saying on its website that they are 'popular', 'in demand' and 'selling fast'.

There is just one thing to note before tapping the buy button. All of the prices above are based on a 36-month contract with the option to switch the phone after 24 months. That means you will have to sign up for three years.

The total price for the 3GB deal over the term is £1,008. It sounds a lot, but it's pretty competitive when compared to buying the phone outright and then opting for a SIM-only plan.

Right now, the iPhone 16 can be purchased for as little as £698 from stores such as Amazon and (RRP from Apple is £799). Adding a 5GB SIM from a UK network will cost around £7 per month. Add the price of the phone to the SIM, and the total over 36 months comes to £951.

That is over £50 cheaper than Sky, but you will need £698 in your bank account to buy the device rather than pay for the phone each month.

So, is the iPhone 16 any good?

The simple answer to that is yes. The new call maker features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR screen, super fast A18 processor and long battery life that should keep the screen glowing for well over a day.

There's a dual-lens snapper on the rear case, it gets the new Camera Control button for fast and seamless photography plus it is covered in Ceramic Shield glass to help it survive life in your pocket.

It comes in 5 colours, including Ultramarine, Teal and Pick, has the Action Button on the side for access to favourite features and gets life-saving upgrades such as SOS satellite text messaging and Crash Detection, which calls the emergency should you have an accident.

Finally, the iPhone 16 is built for Apple Intelligence which means it comes packed with smart features that can retouch your photos, help you write emails, create unique images and even help sort your email inbox.
