The White Lotus cut dramatic sex scene between unexpected characters from tense final

recently concluded its third series but while fans had been left shocked, there was another scene which could have left viewers even more speechless. Although the previous seasons had opened with a flash forward scene which had also hinted at the possibility of a death being aired.

However, the series took a very dramatic turn as . But it almost saw a sex scene between two people that fans would not have expected to see together.

The scene featuring Piper, played by Sarah Catherine Hook and Zion, played by Nicholas Duvernay, the son of Belinda (Natasha Rothwell). While fans may not have known about it, it was recently revealed by show creator, Mark White on the White Lotus season three podcast, which aired just after the finale aired for fans.

Although he didn't confirm that the scene was filmed, he did reveal that he wrote it into the final script but it was later cut from the process. He said: "The part that was cut too, which is very disappointing, is that she decides to lose her virginity in the script in the last episode. And she actually has sex with Zion," which left the podcast hosts Jia Tolentino and Josh Bearman completely speechless.

Had the scene had made the final cut, it would have been a complete circle for Piper as her brother, Saxon, played by Patrick Schwarzenegger, said that Saxon was "hot" but didn't know whether she'd had sex at that point. Meanwhile, Lochlan, Saxon's brother had spoken about this but didn't confirm if she was a virgin or not.

White went on to add: "There's a whole scene where she's like, 'It's true. Saxon's right about this one thing. I need to get this over with.' And you know, like after she leaves the monastery, she's just like, 'I need to...' You know, 'I need to, like, have sex.'" He went on to add that during the scene, Saxon was "scoping the restaurant" before she finds Zion.

He continued: "It was just like one of these things where it was like... you know, it's an hour and a half already. And it would have added, like, ten minutes to the thing. And it had a little bit of a romantic rom-com vibe in the middle of like, you know, trying to kill the family with the... with the pong pong fruits. And it was just like... It just felt like I was trying to do too much, you know, narratively."

White added that he also thought about various ideas for the Ratliff family and was playing off the Mossbacher's throughout the first series which had fierce twins, played by Sydney Sweeney and Fred Hechinger. Explaining further, he continued: "And then as far as Saxon and Piper, I was trying to think about the last family and how it began with a Sydney Sweeney's character being like 'We don't want you in here.'

"And the kid has to go sleep on the beach. Cause like, he's this kind of like, you know, reject. And I was like, what could be the... something that feels like it's like a play on that, which is like, they all want him in his room." But while one of the twins was "carnal", he also had a philosophical look on things.

The exploration surrounding the sex was focused around the "pleasures of life" being "basic." White said: "Life is about wanting things and getting them. And if you can get them, then you're gonna be happy. You know what I mean? And a lot of times, people who... retreat from life are just afraid that they're not going to be able to get the things they want. Or they say they don't actually want the things they want."
