Many know Sanjay Bangar, former cricketer and India’s batting coach. His daughter, Anaya Bangar, is a transgender woman who recently completed an important step in her gender transition. Formerly known as Aryan, Anaya returned from England a few months ago embracing her true self.

Emotional Moments Before Surgery

On July 2, 2025, Anaya shared a heartfelt video on her YouTube channel showing her emotional state just before undergoing surgery. In the 7-minute video, she explains which parts of her body would be operated on and reflects on her long journey of transformation. Tears well up as she pauses in silence, expressing the deep emotions tied to this life-changing process.

The Surgeries Undertaken

Anaya underwent breast augmentation and tracheal shave surgery on that day. Breast augmentation helps enhance her physical appearance in line with her gender identity. The tracheal shave reduces the prominence of the Adam’s apple, giving a softer throat profile. These surgeries mark significant milestones in her transition journey.

How Much Does a Gender Transformation Cost?

Though Anaya has not publicly revealed her expenses, reports estimate the total cost of gender transformation procedures to be around Rs 1 crore. Specifically, the recent breast augmentation surgery can cost approximately Rs 3.5 lakh, while the tracheal shave surgery may range from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 6.5 lakh.
