If you feel dizzy as soon as you wake up in the morning or lose balance while walking, it could be vertigo. Know its symptoms and why it is not ordinary dizziness.
As soon as Pooja got up from the bed in the morning, everything seemed to be spinning. She thought her blood pressure might be low, but this started happening every day. The doctor told her that this is vertigo. Vertigo is not a common dizziness, but it can be a serious sign related to the balance system of the body. In this, not only the head spins, but walking and doing everyday things also become difficult.
Spinning of the head while getting up or sitting down: When the head starts spinning rapidly upon changing the body position, such as everything appears round upon getting up from a chair, this is the first and most common sign of vertigo.
Whistling or heaviness in the ears: Vertigo is often associated with the inner lining of the ear. Therefore, many people experience ringing sounds or pressure in the ears.
Stumbling while walking: If the balance of the feet is disturbed repeatedly while descending the stairs or you suddenly feel dizzy, this is also a big sign of vertigo.
Darkness in front of the eyes: Sometimes during vertigo, the vision becomes blurred intermittently, which causes the head to spin even more.
Nausea or vomiting: Along with the spinning of the head, stomach discomfort, nausea or vomiting are also the hallmarks of vertigo. Especially if it occurs during the morning.
Do not delay if you notice the symptoms: If these symptoms persist, ignoring vertigo can be dangerous. It may be related to ear, brain or neurological problems. So consult a doctor immediately.
