In a landmark initiative on International Yoga Day, the Isha Foundation organized free yoga sessions for over 10,000 defence personnel across the country. Conducted by more than 11,000 trained 'Yoga Veers' of the Foundation, these sessions were held at over 2,500 locations nationwide.

Bengaluru Hosts Grand Event with 5,000 Troops
The largest gathering took place at Sadhguru Sannidhi in Bengaluru, where over 5,000 soldiers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force participated in the yoga practice. More than 1,000 local civilians also joined the event, reflecting widespread public interest. Significant sessions were also held at defence hubs like Sriganganagar (1,500 soldiers) and Jodhpur Airbase (900 Air Force personnel).

Yoga for Warriors: A Step Towards Inner Strength
This year’s campaign was designed specifically to support the physical and mental resilience of India’s armed forces. According to Isha Foundation, yoga is more than a fitness tool—it’s a powerful science for inner balance, clarity, and calm, qualities critical to soldiers operating under high pressure.

Sadhguru’s Message: “Be Free from Mental Slavery”
Marking the occasion, Sadhguru shared a message on social media:

“Yoga is a systematic science to create a life shaped by conscious choice—not by compulsive thought and reaction. Only when we go beyond these compulsions can we truly take charge of our physical and mental well-being.”

A Global Movement in the Making
Founded by Sadhguru, Isha Foundation has been promoting classical yoga globally for over three decades. With a volunteer base exceeding 1.7 crore and more than 400 centers around the world, the Foundation continues to drive large-scale initiatives for human well-being across physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.

As India marked another International Yoga Day, Isha’s soldier-centric drive highlighted a unique synergy between ancient wisdom and modern defence readiness.
