Apple Set to Launch New M4 Chip MacBook Air Models in Early 2025

Apple Inc. is gearing up for a significant upgrade to its MacBook Air lineup, with new models featuring M4 chips expected to debut in early 2025. Reports suggest these updated MacBooks will be announced sometime between January and March of next year.

While Apple plans to showcase several computer updates next week, the new MacBook Air models will not be part of that reveal. Earlier this spring, Apple introduced MacBook Airs equipped with M3 chips, and the upcoming models will maintain the existing M2 design, available in both 13-inch and 15-inch sizes.

The introduction of the M4 chip underscores Apple's commitment to enhancing its silicon technology following the launch of the M3 chips. Although the new MacBook Airs will retain their sleek look, users can expect improved performance with the M4 chips.

In addition to the new MacBook Airs, Apple is set to unveil updated MacBook Pros, Mac Minis, and iMacs at the upcoming event. A refreshed Mac Studio, currently powered by M2 Max and M2 Ultra chips, is anticipated to launch between March and June 2025, following a software update in March.

Apple is also working on an M4 Mac Pro, though no timeline for its release has been announced. Besides hardware upgrades, Apple plans to introduce a new iPhone SE, refreshed iPad Air models, upgraded iPad keyboards, and new entry-level iPads in the spring.
