Science-backed skincare brand Medik8 has launched a new brightening serum that is clinically proven to improve wrinkles in seven days with zero barrier disruption. The new is a high-performance gel serum that claims to be ultra-gentle, aiming to deliver smoother, radiant skin.
As a new addition to the brand's vitamin C range, the C-Tetra Advanced, priced at £69, has potent stabilised 20% vitamin C with restorative phyto exosomes and antixodiants to enhance the skin's resilience while neutralising the ageing effects of free radicals. Lucky beauty fans who received a sample to test have expressed their satisfaction for the serum in positive reviews.
The C-Tetra Advanced uses a bigger portion of vitamin C compared to the C-Tetra Luxe. Instead of an oil, the new serum has a creamy gel texture for fast absorption.
Daniel Isaacs, cheif product officer at Medik8, shared: "C-Tetra Advanced is scientifically proven to shield against the environmental stressors that cause premature skin ageing, . Phyto exosomes, which are encapsulated by nature and sourced from green tea leaves, are rich in proteins, lipids, and messenger molecules. Acting as intelligent micro-carriers they carry key signalling molecules, like peptides and nutrients, to send signals to skin cells to help reinforce the skin barrier for optimal skin tolerance and comfort."
Meanwhile, has become a big hit with beauty enthusiasts since it launched 20 years ago. It has a formula of 15% pure vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid), 1% vitamin E (alpha tocopherol) and 0.5% ferulic acid.
The brightening and anti-ageing, £88.50, is also popular. Formulated with peptides, retinol and pure vitamin C, it comes with a free Lancome Absolue Gift on Boots.

A second compared the new serum to Medik8's existing vitamin C range: "I love my C-Tetra Luxe and didn't think I'd enjoy anything else as much but this really is a new favourite. No sting to it (like C ferulic) but the non-oily texture does make my skin feel more comfortable."
A woman in her 60s also gave her verdict after using the serum consecutively for a week: "After a week of using C-Tetra Advanced the skin on The delicate smell of the product made it pleasurable to use.
"A slight downside for me was that I developed redness around my eye area after a couple of days, and I omitted this area for the rest of the week. This isn't unusual for me, as it also happened with the Retinal eye cream."
Some mentioned the cream-gel texture was "too runny" for their liking but others said it "absorbed quickly and left skin feeling nourished".
