in have complained about one specific issue that seems to be a problem in the bars throughout the city.
Tourists are complaining that the state of the ladies toilets in bars all over Benidorm is not acceptable.
One holidaymaker in particular took to group BENIDORM BENIDORM to ask a question about the bars in the seaside area.
They said: "Really enjoy Benidorm but why can't bars look after the ladies toilets have been in quite a few that leave a lot to be desired."
Many people replied to the complaint thread on Facebook in agreement of the condition of the toilets.
One person said: "I absolutely agree! Some of them are rank," with another adding "non of this in Turkey - Benidorm always been a dump on toilet front."
But others went on to blame women themselves for the condition of the toilets.
A man on Facebook said: "Perhaps because women use them not ladies, a huge difference. I used to run a pub and the cleaner told me that the ladies where always in a far worse state than the gents."
"It's the ladies who leave it like this," another commentator said.
One person highlighted: "They are but the way some women leave them is shocking too... The staff can't be in there every 5 mins."
"It doesn't take much to have a rota to check them especially for loo roll," another added.
It seems more holidaymakers agree with the complaint. Over on Trip Advisor, a reviewer said: "Toilets were disgusting. Ladies, 5 stalls, most didn't have a working lock, one had no toilet seat and none had toilet paper. I carry tissues but had to give my last tissue to a young lady who looked horrified at no toilet paper (as was I). There is no excuse for every ladies toilet to have no paper."
Benidorm is a popular spot for British people to visit, with more than 800,000 Brits travelling to the seaside spot each year.
