The mastermind behind Cocaine Bear returns with a "chaos cocktail" featuring a Hollywood legend's offspring.

Screenwriter Jimmy Warden gained notoriety for crafting the horror comedy Cocaine Bear in 2023, which saw a black bear embark on a drug-fuelled killing spree.

Two years later, Warden has returned with the thriller comedy Borderline, which initially premiered in March and boasts an impressive ensemble cast.

Spearheading the production as 1990s pop sensation Sofia is Ready Or Not and Nine Perfect Strangers actress Samara Weaving, alongside her obsessive stalker Duerson, portrayed by Ray Nicholson.

Cinema enthusiasts will naturally recognise Nicholson as the offspring of The Shining legend Jack Nicholson and actress-model Rebecca Broussard.

The cast is rounded out by Warrior Nun actress Alba Baptista, Grey's Anatomy favourite Eric Dane, and Pieces of a Woman performer Jimmie Fails.

Borderline centres on menacing stalker Duerson, who breaks into Sofia's residence under the twisted belief they are destined for matrimony.

Assisted by her bodyguard, Sofia must attempt to flee her own dwelling before being compelled to wed the unhinged trespasser.

Borderline initially hit cinemas in March 2025 and from today, Monday, September 8, is available to stream across multiple platforms including Apple TV+, Amazon, Sky Store, iTunes and Google.

What makes this unconventional thriller particularly thrilling is its production by Margot Robbie and her spouse Tom Ackerley's company LuckyChap Entertainment.

The same company is also responsible for the critically acclaimed films Barbie, Saltburn, Promising Young Woman and I, Tonya.

One viewer took to Rotten Tomatoes to share their thoughts on Borderline, writing: "Borderline is a chaotic cocktail of horror, comedy, and thriller-a deranged midnight movie about obsession, celebrity culture, and the strange space where violence and absurdity collide.

"It's messy, it's tonally erratic, and it's an absolute blast."

Another concurred: "At its core, Borderline is an experience. It's a wild, unpredictable, and sometimes messy ride that delivers laughs, thrills, and plenty of WTF moments."

A third chimed in: "Borderline wavers between fantasy and actuality and will keep you guessing."

Borderline is now available to watch on Amazon, Sky Store, iTunes and Google.
