has reached his first 100 days back in the White House after being sworn in in January, but the two-time US president has not kept all of his election promises so far. The Republican made a series of pledges while on the campaign trail last year, including mass deportations and ending the Russia-Ukraine war on his first day. One of his main vows that attracted voters was to bring down and deliver "the greatest economy in history".
He said in August last year: "When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on day one." However, this action remains to be seen after Mr Trump presided over the biggest monthly increase in prices for 16 months in January. His ongoing trade war is also expected to increase costs for Americans as his import taxes will likely when buying things like cars, houses, and fuel.
Another one of the US president's most notable promises was to "stop people at the border" and oversee mass deportations, which he has begun.
Since he returned to office, the number of illegal crossings into the have dropped to the lowest on record.
Mr Trump deported 37,660 people during his first month in office, according to Department of Homeland Security data. However, this was far less than the monthly average of 57,000 removals and returns in the last full year of Joe Biden's administration.
Arguably, his boldest claim was to have the Russia-Ukraine war "solved within one day", which he clearly has not done. Mr Trump recently backtracked on his pledge, telling it was "an exaggeration".
He said: "Well, I said that figuratively, and I said that as an exaggeration, because to make a point. And you know, it gets, of course, by the fake news... Obviously, people know that when I said that, it was said in jest, but it was also said that it will be ended."
The US president also said in the months leading up to the election that he , which he called "draining the swamp".
He said of federal employees: "They're destroying this country. They're crooked people, they're dishonest people. They're going to be held accountable."
Alongside and his brainchild, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Mr Trump laid off or fired at least 121,000 federal workers in his first three months of his second term.
Finally, the Republican pledged to "drill, baby, drill" during his inauguration speech in order to ramp up fossil fuel extraction as opposed to renewable energy sources.
However, oil prices have fallen recently after the tariff announcements sparked fears of weaker demand for the precious resource.
