Part of East Lancs Road near St Helens in Merseyside has been closed after a car fire. Dramtic pictures show flames and smoke billowing from the scene this morning (Tuesday, August 12).
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 6.50am and the eastbound carriageway is now shut. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
