With a clear vision and a £525,000 budget, Andy and Jane were seeking a charming three-bedroom property with a garden that wouldn't be too much to handle and was close to amenities.

Their property hunt kicked off in Gloucestershire, where the first house immediately charmed them, prompting Nicki to eagerly plan more viewings in the picturesque county.

Nicki guided them through the ground floor before they ventured upstairs on their own. Yet, their tour was brief as they quickly identified a potential deal-breaker.

Reconvening in the idyllic front garden, a slightly let down Nicki remarked: "Slightly disappointed, I was hoping you were going to take longer! It's so lovely just sitting there looking out into the garden, sun shining, how did we get on with upstairs?"

To which Jane responded candidly: "Yeah great! I think the third floor might be a bit of a problem, having that many stairs as we're getting older but I like the house."

The BBC host revealed the property matched their precise asking price, having been recently reduced in cost, , reports .

Andy remarked: "It is a nice size and it is a nice home, for sure. It's just whether the suitability for us, at the age we're at and we're not getting any younger, would allow us to stay in it for too many years. We're looking for a forever home really I suppose."
