The research from the credit card brand calculated the average price of a pint in UK cities to come up with the ranking, with . However, Northampton did not trail far behind with the average price of a pint there only 25p more. The results are based on a seedlist of the 40 most populated cities in the UK.

Northampton might be considered an underrated visitor destination and not just because of the cheap pints. The small city is also home to Althorp Estate, Coton Manor Gardens, Icarus Falconry and Castle Ashby Gardens.
