Good Morning Britain star Richard Arnold has issued a six-word response to Mickey Rourke's exit from Celebrity Big Brother.
The Hollywood actor has been embroiled in various controversies since the renowned reality TV series made its comeback on ITV last week.
Mickey first found himself reprimanded with a formal warning for delivering "offensive and unacceptable" remarks to Dance Moms icon JoJo Siwa.
In the episode that aired on Sunday (April 13), viewers then witnessed Mickey make a sexual remark towards The Only Way is Essex star Ella Rae Wise, which left her in tears.
Subsequently, he was involved in a heated exchange with Love Island's Chris Hughes during the first shopping challenge. Mickey showcased "threatening and aggressive" behaviour after he felt that Chris "eyeballed" him, which ultimately led to his removal from the house, reports
After being called to the Diary Room by Big Brother, Mickey offered an apology, saying: "I did wrong. I apologise. I'm sorry. I can't take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing.
"Cause I lost my temper, and I've been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I'm very sorry. I'm ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there."
He concluded: "Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I'm sorry about that."
ITV star Richard Arnold addressed the events on Monday's (April 14) Good Morning Britain, stating: "It was a deeply distressing watch."
"It's been an eventful weekend... They were dressed as pirates as part of a playful task but it was anything but," he added.
"Squaring up like that, as well, out of nothing, it just came from nowhere."
Richard continued: "You want conversations to happen in the house, different points of view, those with challenges and from that banter someone will perhaps learn. Clearly, as we predicted, Mickey reverted to type and couldn't keep a lid on those issues."
"When it's unsettling and unhappy for the other members in there, it's difficult isn't it," co-host Charlotte Hawkins concluded.
Tonight's episode of Celebrity Big Brother will see the remaining housemates nominate once again to determine who will be up for the second eviction of the series.
