As well as parenting at such a young age, Kate has also developed a different social media approach when compared to other official Royal Family accounts.

This was shown earlier this year when behind the scenes as she reflected on her cancer journey.

It was also shown over the course of the year when pictures were shared by Kate that are usual for royals to make public, such as the photograph of Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6,

However, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes this new approach to social media is a great way to help keep the monarchy popular.

: "This is such an effective and modern way of using her influence and staying in touch, even when she is not making personal appearances.

"Official statements from the Palace now seem quite stuffy and extremely formal by comparison.

"Social media can be a source of awful abuse, but Catherine and William are showing that it can be used to spread goodwill and kindness."
