SATONO REVE (3.40) can make history for Japan at Royal Ascot by burning down the straight in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes.
Gold Cup ninth Ingrandire was the overseas team's first competitor at the meeting in 2004, with 2022 Prince Of Wales's Stakes fourth Shahryar faring best of a further nine raiders since then.
Satono Reve, who won the top level Takamatsunomiya Kinen in partnership with Joao Moreira, has been running against the world's best horse Ka Ying Rising - dubbed 'the Usain Bolt of racing'.
With trainer Noriyuki Hori in attendance, the six-year-old was put through his paces by Ryan Moore on Newmarket's July Course recently, where he powered clear of his companion.
He is fancied to have too much speed for Inisherin, likely to fare best of the home team, with former Aussie sprinter Storm Boy picking up the pieces in third.
The Scout's Verdict
1 Satono Reve
2 Inisherin
3 Storm Boy
1 Annaf
Decent Ascot record here and in fields in double-figure numbers but appears to be past his best.
2 Elite Status
Third in the Norfolk Stakes two years ago, striking at Listed and Group Three level since. Met some trouble in running behind ownermate Inisherin at York which makes him one of the more interesting longshots.
3 Grand Grey
Not firing at present; slow to get into gear mid-race at Newmarket and then blew the start at The Curragh. Ground too lively and surely biting off more than he can chew.
4 Iberian
Bounce factor might have been in play when he flopped last time out. A Group Two-winning juvenile over seven furlongs, trainer Charlie Hills has been gradually making him faster but stall two no help.
5 Inisherin
Quality speedball, clearing away to win impressively by two and a quarter lengths in last year's Commonwealth Cup on fast ground. Brief spell in the doldrums was ended via a wind op and winter break in the Group Two Duke Of York Clipper Stakes, when his mean streak was back. Leading contender.
6 James's Delight
Popped up at a price on a couple of occasions, on ground no faster than good. Eighth with cut on Champions Day here, Clive Cox's colt might not be quick enough to play a leading role.
7 Jasour
Staying-on tenth in King Charles III on Tuesday and goes back up to six furlongs. A surprise move as goes well fresh.
8 Lazzat
Wathnan Racing have added the French-trained individual to their squad and he has bags of talent, with seven wins from ten starts. Sped away in his Prix Servanne trial and if handling the quickest conditions he has ever faced, could get a nice tow from Satono Reve. In the mix.
9 Run To Freedom
Unplaced twice before in this and too stiff a task to emulate his half-brother Twilight Son, the 2016 hero who has gone on to be a successful stallion.
10 Sajir
A 2025 improver shuttled over to scoop the Group Three Abernant at Newmarket. Not as classy as French number one Lazzat.
11 Satono Reve
Had a rear view of the world's best sprinter Ka Ying Rising in the Chairman's Sprint Prize at Sha Tin. Finished with a flourish for Group One glory previously and is the class act.
12 Storm Boy
Justify's son raced to first on five occasions in Australia for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott. Joined Aidan O'Brien but weakened out of contention in a Group Two on stable debut, a run the trainer said was badly needed. Jolt of improvement expected.
13 Topgear
Showed plenty of toe over seven furlongs to tempt Christopher Head to have a crack at this - a totally different ball game.
14 Flora Of Bermuda
Filly with the right attitude who has held her form, placing in the 2024 British Champions Sprint on soft and getting close to Inisherin on her return. Could make the frame.
15 Great Generation
Has three Group race triumphs at seven furlongs on her CV. Not rated too far behind these and another with each-way claims.
16 Nighteyes
Below the standard required to play a hand.

TREANMOR (2.30) can be a titan of the two-mile division as Royal Ascot's final card gets underway with the Chesham Stakes.
Trainer Charlie Appleby sent out star Pinatubo to land the 2021 renewal and is back to plunder another pot with this 2,000,000 Euros yearling.
A son of Frankel, Treanmor sprung into life with a four length supremacy at the flat racing headquarters of Newmarket.
The form is of little note but the style of victory, when he was value for more, marked him down as one to follow.
A quick playing surface and 1m 4f gives SPACE LEGEND (3.05) a fighting chance in the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes.
The turns of Chester were too fast for him to land a telling blow in the Huxley Stakes, over a distance short of his best.
But go back 12 months and he was best of the rest behind emphatic King Edward VII Stakes hero Calandagan, a Group One animal.
Space Legend then deserved praise for making ground from last to be beaten just a length-and-a-half by another top flight foe Los Angeles in the Great Voltigeur Stakes.
Cheekpieces go on to give the William Haggas-saddled runner an extra edge to his game in his optimum conditions.
Donnacha O'Brien's decision to send top-rated COMANCHE BRAVE (4.20) to the Group Three Jersey Stakes is a tip in itself.
The handler does not run horses at the top fixture to make up the numbers and this colt has got close to French Guineas hero Henri Matisse.
At huge odds of 50-1, Comanche Brave was not disgraced in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and this is a more realistic target.
Stall 12 is a little question mark for JARAAFF (5.00) who has a rock solid case to play a starring role in the Wokingham Stakes.
Saddled by Owen Burrows, the lightly-raced handicapper struck with a going places double over course and distance in 2024.
That pushed him into the right ratings bracket for today's event, with runners 100-plus winning a further ten times since Dandy Boy's exploits of 2012.
A half-brother to a Group Three target hitter at ten furlongs, SERAPH GABRIEL (5.35) heads for the Golden Gates Stakes after an encouraging comeback covering a mile at Sandown.
The Queen Alexandra Stakes is the grand finale of 35 races - and SOBER (6.10) is a worthy favourite to send punters home happy.
