The One Show fans left swooning as Hollywood icon reveals real age

BBC's viewers were in for a shock as they learnt of Keanu Reeves' real age during a live broadcast.

The sensation ensued on Wednesday, when the veteran actor graced the renowned red sofa with author China Mieville to discuss their collaborative endeavour on the new novel, 'the book of elsewhere'.

As Keanu and China delved into conversation, it was a fleeting revelation that left spectatorsincluding hosts Gabby Logan and Alex Jonesutterly astonished.

In the midst of reflecting on his landmark celebrations this year, Keanu made an explosive declaration about his age. Revealing his recent birthday milestone, he said: "Well I've turned 60 this year."

Addressing this, an astonished Alex queried, "Did you? You can not be 60.", reports .

Keanu affirmed: "Yes I am 60 years old." To which Alex could only express her amazement with a simple "wow."

At home, viewers scurried to X, previously known as Twitter, to express their astonishment at Keanu's enduring youthful looks.

Comments abounded from shocked audiences, with one viewer exclaiming: "Keane Reeves is 60? #theoneshow", while another added: "Keanu Reeves, one of the good guys. How is he 60? ? #TheOneShow."

A third expressed disbelief: "OMG how can #KeanuReeves look this gorgeous at 60 The man is timeless #TheOneShow."

Other fans remained incredulous, as one asked: "Wait Keanu 60? He doesn't look like it #TheOneShow."

followed by another's testament: "Wow Keanu does not look 60 #TheOneShow."

One viewer gushed on social media: "Whenever I feel old, I look at the divine Keanu. We are the same age ('64 babies) and are younger than Pitt, Clooney, Depp, and Cruise. Age is just a number and Keanu and I are really cool despite being 60. #TheOneShow."

During the same episode, Keanu Reeves opened up about catching up with his 'Speed' co-star Sandra Bullock for the film's landmark 30th-year celebration.

"It was so nice," the Hollywood star reminisced. "Sandra Bullock and I get along so well and it's always nice to see her so it was nice to hang out for a little bit."

Gabby playfully put forth: "Did you guys discover later that you could have got on better because you had a little crush on each other while on set but you didn't find out until later on that you fancied each other."

Responding with a smile, Keanu confessed: "Oh yes. We were very professional."

The studio erupted in amusement when Alex chimed in: "That would have been a nice couple."

Gabby concurred: "There was great chemistry online anyway."
