UK weather maps show 14 cities that miss out on next 30C 'heatwave' - full list

A number of cities across the UK are set to miss out on 30C temperatures tomorrow. According to the latest weather maps from WX Charts, hot weather will hit some areas of the country while others see slightly cooler conditions.

The mercury is expected to rise once again on Friday, with temperatures set to reach 30C in Oxford, Peterborough and Norwich. However, other parts of the nation will see high temperatures of 18C throughout the afternoon. The areas set to miss out on the hottest weather include the South West of England, Wales, the north of England and Scotland.

According to the maps, it will reach 29C in London at 3pm while Birmingham will see highs in the mid 20Cs. It will also be cooler in Plymouth, Cardiff, Manchester and Newcastle.

The Yorkshire Dales will see the lowest temperatures of 18C at 6pm on Friday evening. In Scotland, conditions will be around 20C in Edinburgh and Inverness at the same time.

The varied weather will be followed by a drop in temperatures on Saturday (July 19). There will be a maximum of 24C across the south before the mercury drops again at the start of next week.

Meanwhile, rainfall is forecast on Sunday (July 20) with weather maps showing downpours from Plymouth to Wick in the north of Scotland. Some areas could see rain fall at a rate of 8mm per hour.

Warm and humid with sunny spells for many. Showers developing with a chance on thunder for northwest Wales, central and northern England and east Scotland. Very warm in the east.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Staying cloudy further north and west with outbreaks of showery rain. Turning cooler this weekend with widespread thundery showers. Remaining unsettled into the new week.
