Marvel Removes Blade From 2025 Release Slate. Here's The Film Which Replaced It

Marvel has pulled down Blade from its release calendar of November 2025. This leaves the reboot starring Mahershala Ali in a limbo with no replacement date announced as yet. While fans are disappointed, many are not surprised given the uncertainty the film has been facing for a long time. Now, the new Predator film, Predator: Badlands with Elle Fanning, will take its empty release slot.ALSO READ:

Wht was Blade delayed? Blade was first announced five years ago in 2019 at San Diego Comic-Con, when Ali took the stage wearing his Daywalker vampire hunter's hat. But, it first got delayed due to the pandemic, and then the industry strikes of 2023. Over the years, multiple actors, two directors, and at least six screenwriters came on and off the project. According to a report by Variety last year, alleged creative disagreements added to the movie's woes, that is yet to go on floors. Marvel on future of Blade Despite all the trouble, Marvel is still committed to making the new Blade. As per Entertainment Weekly, the studio doesn't want to hurry through the project as it wants it to live up to its predecessors. "For the last few years, as we've been trying to crack that movie, the most important thing for us is not rushing it, and making sure we are making the right Blade movie," Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told BlackTreeTV in a recent interview. "Because there were some great Blade movies years ago.""We are committed to the movie and we're so committed to it that we're not going to make it until it's right," he added. "[It] has been frustrating for us and for some fans that it's taken a while but we have a writer working on it now." ALSO READ:
