Jaipur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Tuesday took Additional SP Surendra Kumar Sharma and two middlemen, Ram Raj Meena and Pradeep alias Bunty, on a three-day police remand for further interrogation in connection with an alleged protection racket that helped illegal sand mining operations flourish in Sawai Madhopur. Sharma, who was posted at the ACB headquarters in Jaipur, was arrested on Monday for allegedly using his position to extort bribes from govt officials and shield sand and liquor mafia.
