Jaipur: City police Tuesday arrested a 40-year-old man for making a hoax bomb threat. He claimed that some men were preparing to target four police stations in the city commissionerate area during heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. The accused, identified as Samundar Singh, allegedly called the police control room while intoxicated. He claimed that individuals from Pakistan were planning to bomb the Chomu, Samod, Bani Park, and Sanganer police stations. Police said Singh, a resident of Bhopawas village in the Samod area, made the call using a mobile phone, which was seized along with the SIM card. DCP (South) Digant Anand said that based on the location data and call detail records of the phone used to make the threat, Vidhyakpuri police carried out a raid in coordination with the Samod police and arrested Singh.
