Ram Navami is a significant Hindu festival that marks the birth of Lord Rama, one of the most beloved and revered deities in Hinduism. Considered the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, Rama is often celebrated as the ideal king and the perfect example of righteousness, virtue, and noble conduct.
The festival is observed on the ninth day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the lunar month of Chaitra, which typically falls in March or April. This day also marks the culmination of the spring festival of Chaitra Navaratri. For devotees, Rama Navami is not just a celebration of a divine birth — it’s a reminder of the values Rama stood for and a chance to reflect on the path of dharma (righteous living).
Bharat Ahlawwat, who essays the role of Raghav in Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, exclusively said, "Ram Navami has always been a special occasion for my family and me. We keep our celebrations simple, starting the day with a small pooja at home, followed by reciting the Ramayana. My mother has this beautiful tradition of making Sooji Halwa as prasad, something I’ve grown up looking forward to. I remember, as a child, trying to help her in the kitchen, but mostly sneaking bites of the prasad before it was offered! For me, this day is not just about rituals; it’s about revisiting the values of Lord Ram — patience, humility, and righteousness. It’s a reminder to stay grounded, no matter where life takes us."
Earlier, Bharat opened up about celebrating April Fools' Day, "Every day on our set feels like April Fool’s Day because we’re always pranking each other! I enjoy being the prankster, but I’ve been pranked pretty badly, too. Once, Ayushi switched my phone’s language to something I couldn’t read, and I spent half an hour struggling to change it back. My most legendary prank was swapping my co-star Sehaj’s script with a completely fake one. She started rehearsing a bizarre monologue, only to realize much later that I had tricked her! These playful moments on our set of Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile make work so much more fun and memorable. So, this April 1st, embrace the surprises, enjoy the laughter, and always stay on guard!"
