Aidan Hutchinson stands between the possibilities of the Lions' trade for Trey Hendrickson

Even though the Detroit Lions might have a golden opportunity to get Trey Hendrickson on board amid his tense back-and-forth with the Cincinnati Bengals , the dilemma still looms as the Lions hold back from investing a massive amount in one player since they already have one with a hefty contract. As per stats, the Lions still hold a hefty amount of $42.3 million in team cap space and can easily opt to get a big shot on their team, with Hendrickson currently seeming like a great option. The Bengals’ top pass rusher has been quite outspoken about him not being treated rightly while negotiating a deal regarding his contract and the team’s approval to seek a trade, to the extent that HC Zac Taylor has threatened to fine him if he refuses to play for the remaining year.


With the words flying around of within his current team, it might be the perfect chance for the Lions to hit the bullseye, unless spending a massive amount is not on their list at the moment. While many believe that Hendrickson and Hutchinson together can be incredibly difficult to tackle on the field, the Lions might not be taking a step forward since Hendrickson’s expectations might not align with the team’s current goal of investment.
