Apple Orchard


Apple Orchard is one of the most useful upgrades in the early game. It grants you an additional 20 steps per day. To unlock it, head to Campsite Gate, near the Tent of Simon. You will find the locked gate with the 4-digit code. Input 1128 to get the access.


After the unlock, the upgrade ensures you start every day with 70 steps and not 50. It gives you more room for exploration, draft some better paths, and reach deeper within the manor. It is one of the must-haves for players who wish to maximize their efficiency.



Gemstone Cavern



Tucked right behind the Breaker Box of Utility Closet, Gemstone Cavern is the hidden area. It rewards the persistence of players with free gems daily. To open it, you must solve the color sequence puzzle— gray, blue, green, white, red, purple on the breaker panel.


The success will grant you 2 free gems at each day’s start. It will make it easy for you to afford some special floor plans and rare items. As the gems are crucial to progress, the upgrade is quite invaluable for long-term success.



Blackbridge Grotto



Blackbridge Grotto is a tricky upgrade unlock. To do this, you must first power the boiler room to direct the energy to the laboratory. Inside, you have to solve a Periodic Table Puzzle, the answer to which is Push Three Up After Nine to activate the hidden mechanism.


After the unlock, the upgrade will let you access 1 offline terminal every day. It will allow you to have remote interactions with key rooms like the Shelter or the Security Office. It is a perfect game-changer for the players who rely upon terminal-based puzzles.



West Gate



To unlock West Gate, you must 1st restore the Garage’s power through Utility Closet. Next, activate the garage door opener and follow the left path outside, leading you to reach the gate.


To open it permanently, will add the Outer Rooms to your daily drafts. It includes,

• Tool Shed- offers special items.
  
• Shelter- offers protection against the Red Rooms.
  
• Trading Post- allowing you to exchange the items for coins.
  
• Shrine- for the random blessings.
  

The upgrade significantly diversifies your strategy. It offers newer means to optimize each of the runs.



Trading Post



After you unlock West Gate, cross a nearby bridge, and you will find a Trading Post. Once you are inside, you will have to solve a cube puzzle (align the correct pattern) to earn an Allowance Token.


The token ensures that the players receive 2 gold coins daily. It makes it easy to purchase the items from the vendors. Some coins are rare, and the upgrade is perfect for players who rely on trading.



Do not forget permanent upgrades for room
