For Jalen Hurts , playing quarterback in the NFL isn’t about headlines or public praise—it’s about winning. The Philadelphia Eagles star has made it crystal clear that he’s not swayed by outside opinions or social media debates surrounding his performances. "There may be external perspectives on different things. Most of (that) is all subjective and I try to do that objective. The undeniable and win," Hurts said when asked about the public narrative surrounding his game. And with a record of 46-20 as a starter, he’s certainly delivered results that speak for themselves.

Jalen Hurts makes his Super Bowl intentions clear with epic declaration about Philly’s future

Since taking over as the full-time starter in Philadelphia, Jalen Hurts has turned the franchise into a perennial Super Bowl contender. He’s already appeared in two Super Bowls and led the Eagles to a win in Super Bowl LIX, where he was named MVP. While statistics are nice for quarterbacks, Hurts has shown he’s more interested in creating a legacy defined by championships—and he’s doing it on his own terms.

What separates Hurts isn’t just his physical talent; it’s his unmatched mental toughness. From high school to college to the pros, he’s demonstrated relentless focus and resilience. Even after his Super Bowl MVP performance, he hasn’t taken a moment to soak it all in. “We’re here talking about the 2025-26 season,” Hurts stated, as reported by NBC Sports Philadelphia. “… Everything that’s been accomplished to this point, it’s great. But there’s a desire to achieve more and it’s only intensified.”

At just 26, Hurts isn’t interested in celebrating what’s behind him. He’s driven to build on his already remarkable career. And the Eagles are backing him all the way. Head coach Nick Sirianni, the architect behind Philadelphia’s recent success, was recently signed to a multiyear extension—reinforcing the team’s commitment to its winning core.

Off the field, Hurts made headlines in a more personal way. In a recent Men’s Health cover story, he revealed that he quietly tied the knot with longtime partner Bry Burrows. The couple, who met at the University of Alabama, kept their wedding details private, with Hurts simply saying, “You can call her my wife.” It’s a new chapter in his life, but his trademark humility remains unchanged.

With the 2025 season on the horizon, Hurts will have nearly the same offensive unit that brought home a championship, with only one change on the line. Guard Mekhi Becton left in free agency, but the Eagles wasted no time acquiring Kenyon Green from Houston to fill the gap. Defensively, the team added depth by drafting linebacker Jihaad Campbell and retaining All-Pro talents like Jalen Carter and Zack Baun.

Hurts’ postseason performances have been nothing short of elite—667 yards of total offense and 7 touchdowns across two Super Bowls. As long as his mindset stays the same, the Eagles remain strong contenders to add another title to their collection.
