MUMBAI: Observing that no purpose would be served by keeping him behind bars as investigations are complete and chargesheet filed, a special CBI court granted bail to Enforcement Directorate assistant director Sandeep Singh Yadav , arrested in a corruption case on Aug 8.
The judge noted that the accused is already under suspension after his transfer to another department.
Therefore, objection of CBI that he may pressure the prosecution witness has no legal force.
It was alleged that Yadav asked the complainant, a jeweller, to send Rs 20 lakh bribe to Delhi through a hawala agent.
