JAMMU: Cracking down on terror networks operating from across the border, Jammu and Kashmir Police attached immovable property of a Lashkar-e-Taiba ( LeT ) terrorist, in Poonch district on Thursday.
“Mohammad Riyaz is currently operating as a Pakistan-based handler for LeT and is wanted in multiple terror-related cases,” police said. The action was taken under the provisions of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act after an FIR was registered at Mendhar police station.
A joint team of Mendhar police and revenue department officials attached the property. “The action is part of broader efforts to disrupt the financial and logistical support networks of terrorism,” police said.
